Maryam Rajavi: A Resilient Voice for Freedom, Empowering Iran’s Women to Rise

Maryam Rajavi, a woman ever-smiling yet unyielding, calls upon her brothers and sisters in Iran to rise up. She has dedicated her life to her people. A woman the mullahs have repeatedly sought to assassinate, yet she tirelessly presses forward. For years, she has been the voice of freedom for her people and for women, advocating for Iranian women’s right to choose their place of residence, profession, and education; the right to choose their spouse, clothing, to divorce, and to obtain custody of their children.

Breaking inequality is impossible without profound change. Leadership must be entrusted to the most capable women, without the slightest fear. I say this to you: Maryam Rajavi, the President, is the achievement of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, which placed her at its head and appointed the most capable women to leadership roles in the movement. And the men present told me they wholeheartedly supported the establishment of this new system and its hierarchy.

The patriarchal world has kept Iranian women under its yoke. But women have finally realized their potential. Like the women of the National Council of Resistance, they are seeking to free themselves from Iran’s outdated and regressive values. Thanks to them, the revolution is underway. Nothing and no one will stop it! Neither the Shah nor the mullahs!

Let us stand with our Iranian sisters until democracy is achieved. They are determined to choose their own path. Long live a free Iran, long live Iranian women!
