Former Senator Robert Torricelli in New York: “No to the Mullahs, No to the Kings—This Revolution is Iranian”

Image
The Rising Determination of Resistance Units Senator Torricelli highlighted the growing courage and determination of young Iranians and Resistance Units operating across the country. Praising their bravery in villages, towns, and cities, he commended their willingness to organize despite the constant, severe threats of arrest and execution. Addressing Reza Pahlavi’s public defense of his family’s political legacy, Torricelli strongly criticized his approach toward Iran’s ethnic minorities. Explicitly rejecting any return to the monarchy, he declared: “No to the Mullahs, no to the Kings. We do not want dictatorship of the left or of the right, of religion or of politics.” Solidarity with Ashraf-3 and the Iranian Resistance In another key portion of his address, Torricelli turned his attention to the residents of Ashraf-3 in Albania. He expressed deep gratitude to the Albanian people for providing a safe refuge to members of the Iranian opposition and lauded the residents for susta...

International Bodies Assert Regime Committed Crimes Against Humanity

Image
In recent years, international human rights bodies have increasingly characterized the systematic human rights violations committed in Iran as crimes against humanity. In his 2024 report, Prof. Javaid Rehman, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran, said the 1988 massacre was the worst human rights violation of our time and described it as genocide and crime against humanity. In 2025, the United Nations General Assembly, for the first time, referred to the 1988 massacre of political prisoners in its resolution on Iran. The United Nations Fact-Finding Mission on Iran, in its reports in 2024 and 2026, described the repression of the Iranian people’s uprisings as crimes against humanity. Most recently, Amnesty International also confirmed this finding in its latest report. Our Resistance of more than four decades against the ruling religious fascism seeks to establish a democratic republic where no one would enjoy any privilege because of his or her religion or...

Rising Trend of Executions in Iran

Image
The rising number of executions in recent years is alarming. • In 2022, at least 646 people were executed. • In 2023, at least 864 people were executed. • In 2024, at least 1,000 people were executed. And the following year (2025) brought a shocking escalation: 2,200 executions. In 2026, in addition to executions, for the first time since the massacre in 1988 , more than 50 individuals were executed on political grounds over the past few months, and more than one hundred remain on the death row. The rise in executions is closely linked to the rise of resistance and popular uprisings, revealing the regime’s fear of the Iranian people and their Resistance. On the one hand, Iran has witnessed repeated uprisings. On the other hand, a new generation of courageous and selfless young people has turned toward the Mojahedin. The courage they showed in the days before their executions impressed both the people of Iran and people around the world. Now, let us look at the number of those killed an...

Rudy Giuliani: MEK is Stronger Than Ever

Image
The Resilience and Growth of the PMOI Mayor Giuliani accused the Iranian authorities of systematically targeting political opponents, noting that repeated rounds of repression have entirely failed to eliminate the PMOI . He described the organization as a longstanding opposition movement that has survived decades of persecution while developing a comprehensive political alternative under Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s leadership . Addressing the PMOI's domestic presence, the former mayor highlighted that its activities now extend across all 31 Iranian provinces, placing the organization at the core of ongoing protests: “The MEK is stronger today than it ever was. It’s represented in all 31 parts of Iran. It’s at the core of these protests,” he stated. Giuliani also cited statements attributed to Iranian officials acknowledging the PMOI's organizational activities, presenting them as clear evidence that the regime itself regards the movement as its most significant threat. He further poin...

“We Cannot Wait”: Marc Ginsberg Calls for Action in New York

Image
“We gather with a solemn mission, a vital mission that cannot wait for another war, another crisis, or another president. We cannot wait,” Ambassador Ginsberg told the demonstration. Beyond Condemnation: A Call for Action Ambassador Ginsberg referenced harrowing accounts of imprisoned and tortured Iranians, as well as families whose loved ones were killed during nationwide protests. He argued that these profound sacrifices demand a robust response that goes far beyond standard public condemnation, emphasizing that Americans do not need to support an indefinite foreign war to actively assist Iranians seeking democratic change. Strongly rejecting both hereditary rule and the clerical regime, Ginsberg asserted that Iran’s future must be determined solely by its people, rather than by a monarch, a supreme leader, or any foreign government. He highlighted the National Council of Resistance of Iran’s (NCRI) transition proposal and Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan as effective framew...

The Clerical Regime Needs a Strategy of War and Repression

Image
The clerical regime relies on war and repression as a matter of survival. This strategy includes continuing conflict, increasing the activities of its proxy groups in the region, pursuing its nuclear weapons program, executing political prisoners, and raising prices. But this strategy has deadly consequences for its very survival. Several major events taken place in Iran over the past year have significant importance. They include two wars, a major uprising, a massacre, and the expansion of Resistance Units activities. These events have revealed important facts in three areas. – First, as the Iranian Resistance has emphasized for many years, this regime will not give up the pillars of its survival. It will not stop repressing the Iranian people. It will not give up its nuclear program, its missile program, or its support for war and proxy groups in the region. – Second, for many years it has been clear that appeasement of this regime does not work. It only encourages more human rights ...

Unpunished Atrocities, Recurring Crimes: The Direct Line from Iran’s 1988 Massacres to Today’s Executions

Image
International policy expert Dr. Hanifeh Khayyeri highlighted a direct continuum between the mass killing of political prisoners in 1988 and the current wave of executions , marking a moment of “exceptional urgency.” Political charges resembling those used against prisoners in 1988 are again being deployed against defendants today. The central question raised by Dr. Khayyeri is what the international community should do when executions are again being used “as a political weapon” and crimes left uninvestigated are recurring. She emphasized that present executions represent “ a systematic pattern of political elimination rooted in decades of impunity .” Dr. Khayyeri urged independent investigations, accountability for atrocity crimes, and immediate protection of prisoners facing execution, concluding: “ Human rights cannot be secondary to diplomacy.” https://www.maryam-rajavi.com/en/conference-seeking-justice-for-victims-of-the-1988-massacre/

Justice in the Free Iran of Tomorrow

Image
In complete contrast to the regime, the National Council of Resistance of Iran has made the following commitments in its program: The death penalty will be abolished. There will be an independent justice system and an independent judiciary, based on international standards, including presumption of innocence, right to public defense and independence of judges. The mullahs’ religious laws will be abolished, and the so-called Revolutionary Courts will be dissolved. Unfortunately, most of the perpetrators of 1988 massacre who have been involved in crimes against humanity, genocide and terrorism during the past four decades, are still in positions of power today. As the UN Special Rapporteur, Professor Javaid Rehman , courageously called for in his July 2024 report, on behalf of the Iranian Resistance, I urge all governments to take the following actions: First, create an international mechanism to bring those responsible for the 1988 massacre to justice. Second, use universal jurisdictio...

Failed to Prevent People’s Protests

Image
Conditions in the prisons where detained protesters are held are very bad. They are overcrowded. Prisoners do not have enough food or medicine or access to medical treatment. Even so, the regime cannot stop the protests of angry people. Street protests have been growing in recent weeks. Nurses, young job seekers, and retired workers are all protesting. Inside the prisons, prisoners have participated in the “ No to Executions ” campaign for 137 weeks in 62 prisons. To stop the uprising, the regime relies on war. Despite the concessions made to the regime in the Memorandum of Understanding, it attacked ships in the Strait of Hormuz and discredited the agreement. One of the fundamental reasons of the country’s economic collapse is that the regime spends most of the nation’s revenues on war and oppression. The people of Iran do not want war. The slogan of the National Council of Resistance of Iran is peace and freedom. In Iran, only the regime and the remnants of the old dictatorship want...
