Linda Chavez: Urgent Regime Change Needed in Iran; Rajavi Leads for Freedom

Image
Linda Chavez, former Director of the White House Office of Public Liaison, highlighted the urgency of regime change: “Destroying bombs is not enough. Killing a few leaders is not enough. What must happen is regime change, and it must happen now, by the Iranian people.” She dismissed the Shah’s heir as illegitimate, saying: “ There are not people in Iran asking for the Shah back . We do not want more torture chambers under another dictator. The only alternative is a movement that has existed for sixty years and a leader who believes in fundamental human rights : Maryam Rajavi.” Chavez urged wider international recognition of the NCRI : “It’s not enough to meet in these halls. We must go out and spread the word: it is time to recognize the legitimate leadership of Maryam Rajavi and support a Free Iran .” https://www.maryam-rajavi.com/en/third-free-iran-world-summit-2025-the-clerical-regimes-crisis-of-overthrow/

National solidarity

Image
I must highlight the National Solidarity Front for the Overthrow of Religious Tyranny—a plan adopted 23 years ago that continues to guide the relationship between the NCRI and other groups. This Front rests on three fundamental pillars: 1. It unites forces committed to establishing a democratic and independent republic. 2. It categorically rejects the religious dictatorship, the rule of the Velayat-e Faqih, and all affiliated factions. 3. It is firmly founded on the principle of the separation of religion and state . Beyond these three principles that are the essential prerequisites for a democratic republic, there are no additional conditions for unity and cooperation. Accordingly, there is no longer any need to conceal differences or divisions within Iran’s popular front. Every nation or society is comprised of diverse classes and groups, each represented by their own voices. We believe that, within the framework of the National Solidarity Front, it is both possible and necessary ...

Tomorrow Belongs to US

At this moment, as a new chapter is unfolding in Iran’s history, it is fitting to pause and reflect on the past century.  For 57 years, Iran endured a monarchical dictatorship under Reza Shah and his son, both of whom were installed and sustained in power by Britain and the United States. Nevertheless, the latter, once described as an “island of stability” and designated as the regional gendarme, which wielded a vast apparatus of repression: 600,000 armed forces and the notorious secret policy, SAVAK, was overthrown with the Iranian people’s uprisings. The Shah, like Bashar al-Assad fled. The Shah’s regime eliminated or imprisoned all genuine democratic leaders and officially declared that there could be only one political party—the Shah’s party. Yet, he left Khomeini and the clerical establishment intact. As a result, they seized power and in effect usurped the Iranian people’s revolution . Now, after decades of immense suffering endured by the Iranian people—marked by executions,...

What commitments does the Iranian Resistance have?

Image
Our first commitment is that we, the people of Iran and the Iranian Resistance , will overthrow the clerical regime and will reclaim Iran. Our second commitment is that we, the people of Iran and the Iranian Resistance, will build a free and democratic Iran. And our third commitment is to remain faithful to our people’s sovereignty and their vote; to not seek power at any cost, but to establish freedom and justice at any cost; to never return to the dictatorships of the Shah and the mullahs. We pledged to overthrow the regime, take back Iran and restore all the violated and plundered rights of the people of Iran . Our people must enjoy the right to be healthy, to have shelter, right to employment, to organizing and having syndicates, right to autonomy of ethnic minorities, the right to equal participation in running the society’s affairs, gender equality and popular sovereignty. They must be free of religious slavery, and sexual exploitation. They must enjoy freedom of expression a...

Women of Iran: Leading the March to Freedom in Maryam Rajavi’s Vision

Image
Women are history’s first victims of oppression. Besides having to endure political and socio-economic pressure, they are penalized for the sin of being women. Yet half of the human beings on this planet are women, and inevitably gender oppression and the culture inherent to it directly affect and enchain the other half of humanity, the men. Hence, genuine freedom for the individual and society is ultimately attainable solely through the emancipation of oppressed woman. In other words, gender discrimination and oppression transcend and affect all other domains of human existence. But one cry, and one cry alone, has remained unanswered, stifled in the depths of history: It is the cry of “the slaves of slaves,” the cry of women, the voice of those enduring the ugliest of all oppressions. Gender-oppression ran so deep that no one believed it even existed. Gender oppression was not considered as oppression at all, as only natural life form for women. A woman I am My bare feet Pacing the pa...

What memory do you have of Danielle Mitterrand?

Image
We cannot forget that in 1984, when hundreds of members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran ( PMOI ) were being executed by Khomeini on a daily basis, she appeared on the side of the Iranian Resistance’s Leader, Massoud Rajavi , in order to defend human rights in Iran . We cannot forget that in 1987, when Iranian refugees in France became victims of a deal and were expelled to Gabon, she visited their families who had launched a hunger strike, in order to show her support. We cannot forget that 10 years ago, on June 17, 2003, when the mullahs’ allies and advocates of appeasement with the regime attacked us in Auvers-sur-Oise, she courageously defended the innocent in the face of media accusations and powerfully confronted the demonization campaign. It was France’s conscience that spoke through her that day. The residents of Camp Ashraf and the Iranian people will never forget her powerful, emotional and insightful words in defense of the rights of the Resistance’s freedom f...

Maryam Rajavi: A Resilient Voice for Freedom, Empowering Iran’s Women to Rise

Image
Maryam Rajavi, a woman ever-smiling yet unyielding, calls upon her brothers and sisters in Iran to rise up. She has dedicated her life to her people. A woman the mullahs have repeatedly sought to assassinate, yet she tirelessly presses forward. For years, she has been the voice of freedom for her people and for women , advocating for Iranian women’s right to choose their place of residence, profession, and education; the right to choose their spouse, clothing, to divorce, and to obtain custody of their children. Breaking inequality is impossible without profound change. Leadership must be entrusted to the most capable women, without the slightest fear. I say this to you: Maryam Rajavi , the President, is the achievement of the National Council of Resistance of Iran , which placed her at its head and appointed the most capable women to leadership roles in the movement. And the men present told me they wholeheartedly supported the establishment of this new system and its hierarchy.  ...

Iranian people's demand for regime change, the mullahs' nightmare

Image
The Iranian people’s desire for change is the regime’s persistent nightmare because there is a democratic alternative which can bring that yearning to fruition; a legitimate and broad-based Resistance with a long history of perseverance and struggle against the religious dictatorship. Speech to the Paris conference -December 16, 2017 The Iranian Resistance movement represents the Iranian people’s desire for a republic based on separation of religion and state , and is leading the freedom movement towards building a society based on gender equality and respect for human rights . The Iranian Resistance movement is committed to uproot poverty and discrimination and herald economic and social progress.
