The religious dictatorship in Tehran has hit a historic dead end, clinging to power solely through brutal domestic repression and regional warmongering. This was the definitive assessment by Bob Blackman MP, Chairman of the British Committee for Iran Freedom (BCIF).

Rejecting the Monarchy, Embracing the Republic

Blackman strongly warned Western powers against trying to resuscitate the discredited Pahlavi monarchy. He noted that Reza Pahlavi has never condemned his father’s dictatorship or the notorious SAVAK secret police, while shamelessly claiming support from members of the terrorist IRGC.

A genuine democratic transition, Blackman stressed, requires a structured popular movement willing to make sacrifices—a trait uniquely demonstrated by the PMOI and its domestic Resistance Units.
