Rudy Giuliani: The Iranian Regime’s Collapse & The Path to Freedom

We are on the verge of a major and irreversible change. Forty-seven years of negotiations with this regime have yielded nothing but suppression and the slaughter of the people. The rulers of Iran are a group of religious fanatics whose goal is the destruction of Western civilization and global destabilization; therefore, this regime of terror and horror has no right to exist and must be completely destroyed.

Why the Shah is Not an Alternative

Simply destroying the regime is not enough; managing a country of this magnitude requires a ready and organized alternative. In this regard, a return to the monarchy and the Shah’s son is a repetition of history. After overthrowing two dictators, we do not bring the first dictator back to power. He has lived his entire life on stolen money, has never lifted a finger, and has never risked anything for the freedom of Iran; thus, he cannot gain the people's trust.

Maryam Rajavi and the 10-Point Plan

In stark contrast stands Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, who has stood firm on this path for over 50 years and leads this movement. She has proven her courage in the face of threats and assassination attempts, and she seeks neither personal power nor wealth.

The movement's program relies on a 10-Point Plan formulated at least 30 years ago. This plan guarantees that immediately following the overthrow, a group of trained experts will promptly take over critical duties and the administration of the country to maintain public services and security, paving the way for a free election by the people themselves. This preparedness prevents the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) from entering through the back door to seize control again.

47 Years of Standing Firm on Principles

This struggle began 47 years ago with a gathering of 500,000 MEK supporters in Tehran, crying out for fundamental demands such as peace, human dignity, women's liberation, freedom of religion, and the right to vote. From day one until the January uprising of this year, the regime’s only response to these demands has been shooting people in the streets and executions in prisons. As long as this regime remains in power, there will be no peace in the Middle East or the world.

Ultimately, expressing absolute certainty in the overthrow of the current dictatorship and the formation of a new government, Rudy Giuliani concluded his speech with the hope that his next meeting with the people of Iran will take place in a free Tehran.
